What’s new in 2026
It’s off to work we go…
Hey, don’t look here for intriguing new posts! These days, you’re more likely to find me on Substack, where I write Whispering Waters: Stories, sparks, and suspense from the weird, wild Pacific Northwest.*
I started my Substack newsletter in January 2025, after arm-twisting a few family members into subscribing. My favorite posts from 2025 include:
- What in the Sam Hill? It’s Stonehenge!
- Seeking Sasquatch
- The Wonders of Waterfalls
- February is for Forest Bathing
- The Brilliance of the Brilliant Moon
- The Spookiest Spot in Washington
What happened?
It’s true: my rapid newsletter-production schedule faltered in late 2025, when I returned my focus to the craft of writing fiction. I took an amazing summer class, Jumpstart Your Romance Novel, from editor Jackie Cangro and attended the always-inspiring Writer Unboxed Unconference in Sante Fe in October.
In December, I “finished” (are books ever truly finished?) my suspense/thiller, RIVER OF BROKEN GLASS, and went back to working on suspense novel #2 and editing a fun story (romantic suspense). Both are set in the wilds of Oregon.

What’s new for 2026?
RIVER OF BROKEN GLASS is currently out on submission (eeeeeek). While I wait to hear, I may hike on over to Substack, or perhaps hide out in the writing cave for a bit longer. Updates coming in the spring. Until then… please enjoy this field of lilies. I’ll write about this glorious spot in Washington soon. Promise.
