I had the pleasure last December of meeting Ed Goldberg, a radio host for KQAC All Classical Portland. He’s a mystery author himself, a Shamus Award Winner to boot, and he invited me to the station for an interview about my first mystery novel, Tip of a Bone.
We talked for a good 25 minutes, covering everything from the book’s Oregon coast setting to its characters and their complicated relationships. Ed Goldberg puts me on the spot, asking whether I’d take same risks that my amateur sleuth, Maya Rivers, did — and how, exactly, I feel about violence and visits to the bedroom in books.
If you’d like to hear the interview (don’t worry, we were careful to avoid spoilers), visit iTunes for a free podcast.
Or head over to KQAC All Classical Portland and check out Ed Goldberg’s Author Author program, where you can hear his interviews of local authors from all genres.
